Inflation is a method of foreskin restoration that consists in inflating the subpreputial space to generate tension from the inside. Normally, a compression band is used to avoid radial expansion of the tissue and directing the tension in a linear way. Some devices use a balloon inside the foreskin, while some devices use air directly without a balloon. When air is used directly, generally the urethra needs to be covered with waterproof medical tape to prevent passage of air into the urethra.

Some devices that use inflation are the DTR (with an optional kit), some variations of the TLC-X and the hyperrestore.
