Dr Blumenthal was a Senior Registrar at [https://www.wslhd.health.nsw.gov.au/Westmead-Hospital Westmead Hospital] for 2 years, and has subsequently been in private practice since 1984. He continues to be active in the training of registrars on the training scheme, and is active in Obstetrics. Dr Blumenthal is an endoscopic surgeon. Dr. Blumenthal's medical specialty (Ob/Gyn) is in the care of female patients. [[Circumcision ]] of a male patient is outside of his practice specialty. The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) (2010) states very clearly:
