Regret doctor is a term for describing physicians who used to circumcise boys, but have come to the conclusion that there is usually no medical indication.

It is absolutely not medically necessary at all. I've performed circumcisions that I now profundly regret. Sometimes the babies are in so much pain some of them initially cry and then go quiet as they go into mental shock. Never again.
