The website "ERIC - End Routine Infant Circumcision" has been created in November 2010. Their goal is to end the practice of routine infant circumcision in the United States; whether it’s done through legislation (i.e., amending the law that currently protects infant girls from circumcision, to include infant boys as well), or through perseverance in educating the American public about the harmful effects of circumcision, and to encourage every hospital, doctors, pediatric and ob-gyn clinics to stop offering the procedure for cosmetic reasons.
