Dr. Jens Brandenburg is a German FDP politician and LGBTI political spokesman for his faction in the German Bundestag.
In 2020 he spoke in a video message on WWDOGA:
| “ | In Germany, thousands of newborn, intersex people are stille operated without medical need, just to be able to put them in a social drawer, male or female. These are serious human rights interventions and restrictions on personal gender self-determination with consequences that can never be reversed.
We absolutely need a ban on these medically unnecessary surgeries to protect these people's self-determination.
