Ilene A. Gelbaum, CNM, (born 1946 in Brooklyn, NY, USA) is a retired certified advanced practice nurse-midwife and a promoter of male infant circumcision from Anaheim, California.
Gelbaum is associated with Kaiser Permanente.[1]
Gelbaum also practices as a mohelet or female mohel.[2] [3]
She apparently believed that she was doing good work as she stated, "it really is a touching, moving, spine-tingling thing that I participate in as a service to the community."[4]
