In 2014, MOGiS e.V. and pro familia NRW held a scientific symposium as a kick-off event for the WWDOGA 2014 on May 6, 2014 at the University of Cologne on the theme "Genital Autonomy: physical integrity, freedom of religion and sexual self-determination - from theory to practice".

The following speakers contributions were held:

  • "Male circumcision as sexual violence: Concealment of male injury openness in the majority society and in ritual contexts - insights from the violence gender studies", Hans-Joachim Lenz, Freiburg (Germany)[6]
