In the so-called [[German Circumcision Act]] (§ 1631d Civil Code) which was adopted by the German Bundestag on [[2012-12-12|Dec {{date|2012-12, 2012-12}}]], the paragraph (2) refers to the special case of [[Brit Milah|Jewish circumcision]]s which are usually done on the 8th day after the birth of the boy.
Because at this time, no effective pain treatment for the [[circumcision]] without major risks for the child is possible, they had to create a [[Special Law|special law]] to legitimize the [[Brit Milah|Jewish circumcision]] which now can be found in this paragraph (2). It reads::
