David Gisselquist, Ph.D., received his degree in economics from Yale University, with experience in anthropology and rural development. He has published more than 20 medical journal articles on HIV in Africa and India. His history of unsafe health care and HIV, Points to Consider: Responses to HIV/AIDS in Africa, Asia,and the Caribbean, is available from Adonis & Abbey, London, and also for free download on-line at: http://sites.google.com/site/davidgisselquist/pointstoconsider. He has traveled and worked in Africa and Asia and has assisted field research on HIV in India and Kenya. He co-edited a collection of country studies on injection practices, Pilot-Testing the WHO Tools to Assess and Evaluate Injection Practices (WHO, 2003), and has spoken at WHO and at international AIDS conferences. He is an independent researcher and consultant. Hershey, Pennsylvania, USA.
