The Psychology of Circumcision is a Facebook intactivists group, by Baruch Schiff.

Mission

Male circumcision. Some consider it an essential religious rite, other consider it barbaric genital mutilation.

This is a place to discuss the deeper psychological implications of circumcision. How could something that seems so shocking on the face of it become so prevalent? Why do so many people continue to participate in this rite even into modern times?

This is a place to explore the psychology of circumcision. How we got here, what circumcision means to people today, why some dads think it's essential that their kid will "match", and hopefully so much more that hasn't even occurred to me.

In order to facilitate conversation, this group is neither specifically pro or anti circumcision, but it is against all forms of genital mutilation.
