(The following text or part of it is quoted from the free Wikipedia article Pidgeon_Pagonis:)
Pagonis was born in Chicago, IL, and has Mexican and Greek ancestry. Pagonis seems to be of indeterminate gender.

As a child, Pagonis, a queer and non-binary person who uses they/them pronouns,[1][2] was diagnosed with androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS).[3] They were not told of this intersex variation, were assigned female at birth, told that they had ovarian cancer (when they in fact had internal testes and no ovaries), and subjected to a series of surgeries to alter their genitalia.[3][1]
