Alissa Kristel', AKA Kristel Alissa, who is a professional writer and author with Intact America

Early life and education

Alissa is a native of Beirut, Lebanon, where she lived in the Armenian Quarter.[1] She studied English at Lebanese University.

Adult life

Alissa taught English in the Lebanese school system for more than a decade. She relocated to the United States in 2023 where she wrote for SnackNation and Caroo.[1]

She entered a travel writers contest and won an award for her writing with an article about her native Beirut and won the prize in 2024, which is The Edward-Readicker-Henderson Travel Classics Memorial Scholarship.[2]

Alissa then joined Lucid House Publishing as an Acquisitions Editor,[1] where she is identified as "Kristel Issa" and works under the supervision of Connor Judson Garrett[3]

She is now writing for Intact America, where nine of her articles about circumcision have been published.
