Jojoba is a shrub that thrives in the arid areas of the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. The scientific name of the Joboba is Simmondsia chinensis.
Its seeds provide oil that is extracted and collected. Native Americans extracted the oil from jojoba seeds to treat sores and wounds.
