Some practices have been named for which DoNoHarm will file a report.

They include:

  • Solicitation for medically unnecessary non-therapeutic surgery such as infant circumcision. This is a highly unethetical practice and may also be unlawful.[2]
  • Risks and complications of genital surgery are commonplace and usually attributed to malpractice.
  • Forced foreskin retraction is extremely harmful to boys and unfortunately is a very common practice in the United States. It frequently occurs during a visit to an ignorant pediatrician.

The three items above have been cited as examples of issues for which DoNoHarm would file a complaint, but it does not exclude other occurrences.
