Edwin B. Baxter is a father in Oregon who attempted to circumcise his own son.

Criminal charges

Edwin Baxter of Beaverton, Oregon was criminally charged with assault after attempting to circumcise his eight-year-old son with a kitchen knife.[1]

Court appearance

Baxter was held in the Clark County jail for $50,000 bail. He pleaded not guilty to second-degree assault of a child. at his court appearance.[2]

Sentencing

On 7 December 2004, a jury convicted Baxter of assault of a child in the second degree.

Baxter rejected a plea deal, after which Judge James Rulli sentenced him to three-years in jail.[3]
