A urologist is a medical doctor and surgeon who specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions related to the urinary tract in both men and women, as well as diseases affecting the male reproductive system. They handle issues such as urinary tract infections, kidney stones, and erectile dysfunction.[1] [2]
Adolescent and adult circumcision is customarily performed by a urologist.
Pediatric urologists are consulted for repair of the damage caused by non-therapeutic child circumcision.
