In October 2013 PACE, the foremost human rights body in Europe, adopted a resolution on the bodily integrity of children that rightfully discussed the genital cutting ("circumcision") of young boys a violation of their human rights. After heavy criticism -- including accusations of racism and Anti-Semitism -- and political pressure from religious groups seeking to promote the genital cutting of boys, PACE held this historic debate on January 28, 2014.
