Always place an image of the person, place, or thing this article is about as a thumbnail, at the top, on the right side. See the section of this article called "Adding images" to see how that's done.

This is the heading, where you should place a brief description. The description should be no shorter than two sentences, and no longer than six sentences. If you can, cite where the information for this description came from. If the information in the description is absolute common knowledge, that is the only time you may omit a citation. If the information could be considered biased (or difficult to believe), a citation must be added.[1]

First category

Here's where you start placing content that isn't part of the header. Make a category by placing equals signs on both sides of the title of this new category (click edit next to this category to see how that works). Only information related to this category is to be placed here. If you have other information, make a new category below. All information placed in these categories must be sourced (a citation must be added).[2]

Second category

This is a new category, for new information not related to the above category. Make as many categories as needed (the more the better). Please avoid combining a lot of content into a single category, and split it up into more than one category, organized by the content.[3]

Multiple sources

In this category, we'll add more than one citation. The first citation will be for this claim.[4] The second citation will be for this claim.[5]

How many categories?

There should be at least 4 categories for every article (whenever possible). Even more categories are encouraged. Once you've created at least 4 categories, a category list will appear at the top of the article (under the header).[6]

Sub category

As an example, we'll place a sub category here. If you click edit (next to this category), you'll notice that sub categories have two equals signs on each side of the category title.[7] You'll also notice that not only does the title of a sub category look somewhat different (smaller font), but the sub category index at the top of the page also reflects the new hierarchy.

A deep sub category

You can create a deep hierarchy by adding even more equals symbols. You'll notice that with every level, the title looks a bit different. At this level the horizontal line disappears.[8]

Adding images

To add an image, use the following.
