"I'm an intactivist because I care about saving babies from severe pain." This is a sentiment frequently expressed by knowledgeable intactivists, who believe that greedy doctors like to collect their fee by performing medically-not-indicated, non-therapeutic circumcision on newborn babies who are too young to receive general anesthesia, that the analgesia offered primarily relieves parental guilt, and the baby boy still feels extreme pain,[1] that may cause him to go into shock.
