I'm an intactivist because I care about saving babies from severe pain. This is a sentiment frequently expressed by knowledgeable intactivists, who believe that doctors like to collect their fee by performing medically-not-indicated, non-therapeutic circumcision on newborn babies who are too young to receive general anesthesia, that the analgesia offered primarily relieves parental guilt, and the baby boy still feels extreme pain, that may cause him to go into shock.
