After reading the book "Die verlorenen Söhne"<ref>http://www.kiwi-verlag.de/buch/die-verlorenen-soehne/978-3-462-30459-6/</ref> ''(The Lost Sons)'' by Dr. [[Necla Kelek]], he motivated [[Holm Putzke]] to investigate about the topic [[circumcision]]. Putzke wrote, among other things, a memorandum on the 70th birthday of Herzberg, which was intensively concerned with the subject and became the basis for the decision of the Cologne District Court in the [[Cologne circumcision court judgment]].
Since December 2016, he is an [[intaktiv]] Ambassador.
