Atheist Refugee Relief Germany is an association in Germany founded by those affected and supporters in 2017 and recognized as a non-profit organization. Its goal is to support non-religious refugees with practical offers of help and to improve their living conditions through political work.[1]
Self-understanding
In its self-understanding, the association assumes evolutionary humanism and the Enlightenment. They advocate tolerance and renunciation of violence between cultures and ideological groups - regardless of whether they are religious or non-religious. The mission statement of the association is based on the liberal-democratic basic order, the humanistic Amsterdam Declaration and the basic principles of an open society, namely liberality (orientation towards the ideal of freedom), equality (orientation towards the ideal of equality), individuality (orientation towards the individual instead of the collective) and secularity (orientation towards secular forms of norm justification).[1]
Intactivism
The organization supports the Worldwide Day of Genital Autonomy. In 2021, they contributed a video live talk, in which Lilith Raza, Rana Ahmad, and Stefan Paintner participated. As early as 2020, Rana Ahmad contributed to WWDOGA with a video message on behalf of the Atheist Refugee Relief.
