In 1994, at the [[Third International Symposium]] on Circumcision, he received the Human Rights Award for his work to educate and organize affected men to speak out about [[circumcision]].
In 2021 he was named Honorary Member of the [[Brussels Collaboration on Bodily Integrity]].
