The late Sheila Curran, RN[a 1], (died April 2024 in Marin County, California, USA), colleague and friend of Marilyn Milos, is an intactivist, photographer, and videographer.
Curran produced the first video of an actual non-anesthetized, non-therapeutic, infant circumcision at Marin General Hospital in Marin County, California in 1981. The video was entitled Informed Consent. The attending physician was Dr. Edward Boyce, an obstetrician. Dean Edell, M.D.[a 2], served as narrator.
Curran was an organizer in 1985 of the National Organization of Circumcision Information Resource Centers, Inc., a non-profit, educational organization, which has been renamed to Genital Autonomy America in 2016.
