The late Dr. '''James E. Peron''', {{MS}}, {{DEd}}, ({{LifeData|birth=1932-10-18|birthplace=Sagamore, PA|birthcountry=[[USA]]|death=2017-07-29|deathplace=Kirkwwood, PA|deathcountry=[[USA]]}}) was a medical research writer, educator lecturer, and [[Human rights]] pioneer. In 1970, he founded the ''Childbirth Education Foundation'' (located in Oxford, {{USSC|PA}}).
James Peron was one of the first in [[USA| America]] to speak publicly against [[circumcision]] of infants and children. For 47 years Dr. Peron taught the benefits of protecting [[genital integrity]]. In an interview (see below) Dr. Peron discussed the personal tragedy that started his [[intactivism]] and acknowledges others who began the movement to protect children's rights.
