Egale describes itself as a trust to advance the human rights of 2SLGBTQI people in Canada. Egale was founded by Les McAfee in 1986.
Egale states:
We believe in a world where every person, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity, can achieve their full potential, free from hatred and bias.
Legal advocacy
“ | Legal advocacy is how we ensure the research, education, and awareness work we do is lasting. Our legal advocacy work helps to make explicit that 2SLGBTQI experiences are reflected in policy at all levels of government and beyond. – Egale[1] |
