Five million dollar settlement for circumcision malpractice

A boy who was circumcised on the second day of life at the Hunterdon Medical Center of Flemington, New Jersey, USA on 11 February 2022, has received a settlement totaling $5,000,000 for injuries sustained during his medically-unnecessary, non-therapeutic circumcision with a Mogen clamp by Dr. Michael Girgis, supervised by Dr. Cindy Barter. Dr. Girgis had never before performed a circumcision.
