Gary Shteyngart

Gary Shteyngart (born 5 May 1972 in Leningrad, Soviet Union), MFA, is a Soviet-born Jewish novelist and journalist, who migrated to the United States at the age of seven years.

He teaches writing at Columbia University.

He received an unnecessary ritual circumcision, after which a serious, painful complication developed.
