Gangrene
Gangrene "is the term used to describe the decay or death of an organ or tissue caused by a lack of blood supply."[1]
Amputation of the dead tissue appears to be the most common treatment for gangrene.
Gangrene of the foreskin is a legitimate medical indication for circumcision of the foreskin.
