Traumatic neuroma is a complication of circumcision. Circumcision severs nerves which attempt to regenerate themserves but are only able to form a painful neuroma at the circumcision scar.[2]

Cardoso et al. (2015) reported the case of a 22-year-old man who had been circumcised at the age of eight. Excision of the neuroma was performed.[3]
