Keemonta Peterson is a woman, mother of 4, from Oregon who in 2010 tried to circumcise her 3-month-old son with a box-cutter.[1]
Peterson wanted to have her son circumcised after being inspired by reading the Old Testament, but decided to do it herself in Oct. 2010 because she thought he was too old for doctors to perform the procedure on him, the paper reported.[1]
Keemonta Peterson told police she watched some YouTube videos about circumcisions. Then around midnight on the morning of Oct. 24 — using a box cutter as a scalpel and a pair of pliers as a tourniquet — she began the procedure. She had no experience.
