Penile mycosis leading to penile gangrene. Mycosis is any infection caused by fungi.[1]
Hornbalkar et al. (2013) reported a case in which juvenile diabetes mellitus was a pre-disposing factor.[2]
IntactiWiki comment: When the frenulum is excised along with the foreskin, the frenular artery is destroyed. All circumcisions sever the veins in the foreskin that return blood to the heart. Every circumcision will impair blood circulation in the penis to some extent. Pepe et al. (2015) reported a case of ischemia of the glans penis after adult circumcision.[3]
