Sarah Ann McLachlan (born 28 January 1967 in Halifax, Nova Scotia) is a Canadian singer-songwriter.[1] As of 2008, she had sold over 40 million albums worldwide.[2]

McLachlan appeared at the Hope Rising concert in Toronto on 7 November 2012, alongside Annie Lennox and Angélique Kidjo.[3] The Hope Rising concerts were held in support of the Stephen Lewis Foundation,[4] whose founder, Stephen H. Lewis, is an avid promoter of [circumcision] as HIV prevention in Africa.
