He is also a lead player of the civil society coalition on human rights and constitutional law, which is at the forefront of campaigning against the anti-homosexuality bill that was recently tabled before the Ugandan parliament. Born and raised in Uganda, Julius is a human rights advocate who has done extensive independent research in the fields of genders and sexualities, as well as engaged widely in advocating for the human rights of intersex people and other sexual minorities in Uganda and throughout Africa.
