==Resolution 1952==
The adoption of Resolution 1952 was preceeded by hearings in the [https://pace.coe.int/en/pages/committee-25 Committee on Social Affairs, Health and Sustainable Development] presided over by Rapporteur [[Marlene Rupprecht]], SOC. After the conclusion of the hearings, Rapporteur Marlene Rupprecht issued Document 13297, entitled ''Children's right to bodily integrity''.<ref name="document13297">{{REFdocument |title=Children's right to bodily integrity |url=http://www.assembly.coe.int/CommitteeDocs/2013/Eintegritychildren2013.pdf |contribution= |last=Rupprecht |first=Marlene |publisher=Parliamentary Assembly |format=PDF |date=2013-09-06 |accessdate=2020-10-02}}</ref>  Resolution no. 1952 (2013) 'Children's right to bodily integrity'<ref>[http://assembly.coe.int/nw/xml/XRef/X2H-Xref-ViewPDF.asp?FileID=20174&lang=en The final version of the Resolution in English original]</ref> of the Parliament Assembly of the Council of Europe, which includes the issue of physical integrity of intersex children for the first time, was adopted on October 1, 2013 following an iniative initiative of the German SPD politician [[Marlene Rupprecht]].
The resolution includes other topics such as the [[FGM|female genital mutilation]], the [[MGM|male circumcision]] for religious reasons, and the submission or coercion of a child to piercings, tattoos or cosmetic surgery.
