==Human rights==
Finland became the 23rd member State of the [https://www.coe.int/en/web/portal/home Council of Europe] on 5 May 1989.<ref>[https://www.coe.int/en/web/portal/finland Finland // 47 Etats, one Europe]</ref> As a member of the Council [https://www.coe.int/en/web/portalCouncil of Europe], Denmark Finland is subject to the ''European Convention on Human Rights''<ref>{{REFdocument
