Every [[child circumcision]] and [[adult circumcision]] inherently includes neurotomy and the complete excision of the [[ridged band]] region of the [[foreskin]]. Adverse effects as reported by Cepeda-Emiliani are normal and include loss of [[erogenous sensation of the foreskin]] and [[Psychological injury of male circumcision| mental effects]] up to and including [[suicide]] as reported by Cepeda-Emiliani.
