He had a wide experience for more than 36 years with a special interest in paediatric urology, rare genitourinary anomalies, pediatric gynaecology. He is member of the [https://www.baps.org.uk/British Association of Paediatric Surgeons] since 1994 and the [https://www.wame.org/ World Association of Medical Editors (WAME)], Global Rare Disease Registry (GRDR), and the [https://www.aasurg.org/ American Association of Academic Surgery].
He was Editor-in-Chief for the ''[https://systems.enpress-publisher.com/index.php/jpedd Journal of Pediatric Diseases]'', and now he is co-editor for many international journals, and had a wide range of international publications, and he is an innovator of operations and procedures in pediatric paediatric surgery and pediatric paediatric urology.
Prof Fahmy dedicated his scientific activities to rare diseases affecting newborn and children, specially the genitourinary anomalies; how to detect and to how manage.
