Mr Samkange graduated as a doctor from Cambridge University and King’s College Hospital, London. He went on general surgical and urology training rotations in the UK. He joined the University of Zimbabwe initially as a specialist urology lecturer in the Department of Surgery then laterally transferred to the Institute of Continuing Health Education where he has served as a Heath Training Educator in the University. He has been head of the Institute since 1993. He has served in the University of Zimbabwe Senate since 1993. Christopher Samkange is member of the 2018 Guideline Development Group (GDG) of the WHO. The GDG's task is to develop updated recommendations on safe male circumcision for HIV prevention and related service delivery for adolescent boys and men in generalized HIV epidemics.[1]
