Jerome Amir Singh is member of the 2018 Guideline Development Group (GDG) of the WHO. The GDG's task is to develop updated recommendations on safe male circumcision for HIV prevention and related service delivery for adolescent boys and men in generalized HIV epidemics.[1]

Jerome Amir Singh (BA[a 1], LLB, LLM, MHSc, Ph.D.[a 2]) is Head of Ethics and Law at the Centre for the AIDS Programme of Research in South Africa (CAPRISA), and the Director of the Ethical, Legal, and Social Issues (ELSI) Advisory Services on Global Health Research and Development, funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Singh is a lawyer who works for several different organizations, including some funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the U. S. National Institutes of Health.[3] One cannot imagine that he could hold these positions without being biased in favor of non-therapeutic circumcision.
