Bill Gates
Bill Gates, of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, actively promotes male circumcision as HIV prevention,[1] going as far as traveling to Africa to promote it.[2] Bill was convinced to promote circumcision by Bertran Auvert.[3] He teamed up with Bill Clinton to praise President George W. Bush's President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).[4][5][6]

Early life
Bill Gates was born in Seattle, Washington on 28 October 1955. He was one of three children of Mary Maxwell and William H. Gates, Sr., a prominent lawyer. His circumcision status has never been revealed, but having been born into wealth at the height of the American circumcision craze, it is nearly 100 percent certain that he was circumcised as an infant. This is further confirmed by his adult behavior later in life. When Bill was born in 1955, it was standard practice to circumcise boys without any pain relief, as doctors then believed that infants could not feel pain, although we now know that the pain of circumcision is extreme.[7]
Putative effects of Bill's circumcision
Trauma
We now understand that the effects of the extreme pain of circumcision is traumatic, so infant Bill must have suffered significant trauma.
Famed trauma expert Bessell van der Kolk, M. D. (1989) reported that traumatized persons tend to repeat the trauma on themselves or others, resulting in harm to others, harm to self, or being re-victimized.[8]
Bill uses his position as a director of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to direct huge amounts of money into circumcising sub-Saharan Africa. The Gates Foundation initially provided a grant of $18.5 million to establish the Male Circumcision Consortium, which is to direct the circumcision program.[9] PEPFAR reported that 25.3 million non-therapeutic circumcisions (VMMC) have been performed in Africa.[10] All circumcisions are harmful because they excise highly functional tissue and cause physical, sexual, and emotional injuries. Bill claims they are done for health reasons, such as preventing HIV infection, although circumcision does not reduce HIV infection.[11]
Ignorance
Bill was born at a time when non-therapeutic infant circumcision was a routine procedure in the United States and almost every boy received a circumcision within hours after birth. It was then common for many Americans to have never seen a normal penis with a foreskin. As a teen, Bill attended the exclusive Lakeside School. In those years, a student with an intact foreskin would be extremely rare or even non-existent at the school. It is probable that Bill learned nothing during his adolescence about the nature and multiple functions of the foreskin.
Media funding & objectivity
According to a report in the Seattle Times, the Gates Foundation has become a force in journalism, and contributes millions of dollars to nonprofit and for-profit media to help cover issues of interest to the foundation. Not just MSNBC, but also ABC, PBS, and Public Radio, as well as others. Many worry that its growing support of media organizations blur the line between journalism and advocacy. [12]
Personal life
Bill married a former Microsoft employee, Melinda French, in 1994, with whom he has three adult children.
Bill commenced a relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, in 2011.
Bill was divorced by Melinda Gates, in 2021. Bill's relationship with Epstein has been reported to be a factor in the divorce.[13]
