The late Paul Cecil Mohl, M.D.[a 1], (5 June 1944 in Washington, D.C., USA – 15 February 2023 in Dallas, Texas, USA) was a graduate of Harvard and Duke Universities, and a Jewish psychiatrist who practiced in Dallas, TX. He was associated with the University of Texas where he was Training Director and Education Vice Chair of the UT Southwestern Department of Psychiatry.[1] Mohl was a circumcised doctor.
Judaism was important to Dr. Mohl, who was a founding member of a synagogue.[1]
Dr. Mohl had a unique opportunity to investigate men who sought surgical foreskin restoration from urologic surgeon Donald M. Greer, who was also at the University of Texas and had developed a procedure for surgical foreskin restoration.[2]
Mohl's 1981 article reflected the then common Jewish/American view that any man who wants a whole, complete, normal, fully functional penis and foreskin probably has some kind of psychiatric disorder.
