Dr. Norton Henry Bare, BScN[a 1], M.D.[a 2], (16 December 1892 in Antelope, NE – 6 October 1986 in Lincoln, Lancaster, NE)[1] was an American surgeon who also worked in China.
Circumcision promotion
In 1930, when he was working at the Dilts Memorial Hospital in Batang, Szechuan (China), Bare claimed that he had cured a boy of epilepsy by circumcising him (see publication). In his article, he also referred to at least another circumcision promoter, L. Emmett Holt.
