Intactivist Dan Strandjord was born in Maryland and grew up in Chicago. As a young boy, he experienced an inappropriate genital examination by a University of Chicago pediatrician — something that affected him for many years.
Known around the University of Chicago Medical Center as the Foreskin Guy, Dan has demonstrated against circumcision at the University of Chicago for over a decade.
Becoming aware of the intactivist movement galvanized Dan into becoming an active opponent of the practice that had harmed him. Daniel Strandjord was one of the 7 people who wore the Bloodstained suit at the 2012 AAP meeting in New Orleans with Jonathon Conte. That was the first time intactivists used Richard Duncker's idea in the USA.
Strandjord gave a speech at the WWDOGA 2019 in Cologne, Germany.

Strandjord was chosen "Intactivist of the Month" by Intact America in January 2015.
