Many methods of foreskin restoration, particularly the older methods, use medical tape to hold the skin. In fact, non-surgical foreskin restoration started when one restorer had the idea of using tape to simulate a ring at the tip of the skin, inspired by a method of surgical restoration that had been devised in 1977. This finding gave place to the first organization that advocated foreskin restoration, BUFF - Brothers United for Future Foreskins.
