Dr. X, M.D. is an anonymous, retired American practitioner of family medicine, and an intactivist. He was born in the Midwest region of the United States, where the incidence of non-therapeutic infant circumcision is very high, however he was not circumcised as an infant. He later received a medically-unnecessary, surprise circumcision when nine-years-old, while having another procedure.
Dr. X, M.D. had a surgical foreskin restoration while in his thirties. He later stated, "If I could have foreseen the development of the modern foreskin reconstruction devices now commercially available, I would have NEVER attempted a surgical reconstruction!"
Dr. X, M.D. has written several comments about circumcision.
