Dr. Mohamed Bidair, M.D.[a 1], is a California-based urologist and avid promoter of usually-unnecessary elective adult circumcision surgery.[1]

Dr. Bidair has a website but the adverse sexual effects of circumcision are not well-communicated. The surgeon most provide all material information to the patient before informed consent can be granted. There is a strong tendency for the surgeon to omit telling the patient anything about the nature and functions of the foreskin. Masood et al. (2006) emphasized the importance of informing men correctly,[2] however the information provided by Dr. Bidair does not satisfy the legal requirements of informed consent.

Note: Dr. Bidair's first name is Mohamed.

It is not known how many of his former patients are regret men.

Cost

An adult circumcision for "cosmetic" purposes by Dr. Bidair has been reported to cost $3,500.00.[3]
